La roux - i'm not your toy

hey gang!
i was so happy to find out that the new la roux single is "i'm not your toy" (is it late to find out about this?). it's my 2nd favourite track on the album. they made a fancy video for it:

here's what i wore during the week. i threw in some comments as a bonus, if you're really bored.

very unflattering picture. i do like the baby pink top i got in primark though, it has lovely detailing like the front sweetheart seam and an open back. got it for a fiver! the tulip skirt is from peacocks, also from the sales, 7 pound if i remember it correctly.


some hazardous stuff dyed this formerly black and white coloured shirt white/camel. not happy! (though i do have 2 of these shirts, so one is in fact still b/w). i also dread this now because i wore this when i got caught chatting too loud in one of my uni classes. i was 12 years old all over again. embarrassssing!
straight after, i did some comfort shopping and got this fantastic denim babydoll dress in the h+m sales for 9€! happiness!


i love this so much (apart from the fact that i look like garth from wayne's world in most pictures)! it's only a size 42 so i can't really button up near the top. oh well. besides my current obsession with hairspray (!!!!), i can't stop wearing my babushka necklace. i kind of made it myself because it used to be a keychain. i'm so crafty recently.

first of all, i strongly recommend you press play here.

secondly, just read on. my outfit from last tuesday. i felt all business because not only do i sport a very grown up laptop case (that i made for my friend kat. kat loves cats!) here, no, i matched this with my red winter coat (not pictured). i am very pleased to say that this lovely skirt only set me back 6 pounds in the sales and i love the necklace i got in next for half the price. that was on boxing day when people in the uk get up at 5 am to do some serious shopping. effort!





so, what was i wearing? peacocks skirt, h+m scoop neck top, c+a cardi, new look leather ballet flats, next gold and ribbon necklace.

how cool is this felt laptop case i made? i should make more and sell them on etsy. what do you reckon? would you buy it? for how much? :)

dollface of the week: nikki blonsky

do you remember when you were 9 or so and you discovered a film for the first time and felt like watching it everyday? that's what i'm like, nowadays, with hairspray. i cannot believe it took me so long to discover this musical milestone in film history. it's like grease, but like you can see yourself in it! crazy days.... if you don't agree with me that hairspray is the sh*t then you obviously have no taste. and at least there's something new for haters to pick on me (hello mrs or mr anonymous!)

ooh sorry for being so quiet in 2010 so far. hope you all had a fantastic new year's eve and a decent january so far...
